CameraX · site security camera system

Thermal perimeter detection and site analytics.

CameraX is a security camera system for factories, industrial zones and campuses. Thermal and optical cameras detect intrusion at the perimeter, count movement at gates and enforce restricted zones. The CameraX Platform, a SaaS subscription, delivers alerts, the operator console and reports in the browser and on mobile. All video stays on the premises.

Overview

One system, four components.

CameraX combines hardware installed on site with a SaaS platform. Cameras go on existing walls, gate houses and lighting poles; the site server goes in a room on the premises; the CameraX Platform is subscribed per site and used in the browser and on mobile.

Component 01

Thermal camera

Long-wave infrared camera for perimeter detection. Classifies people, vehicles and animals in darkness, fog and light rain, independent of lighting.

CoverageOne camera per 250–400 m of perimeter
Component 02

Optical camera

4K camera with infrared illumination for gates, yards and restricted zones. Counts people and vehicles against counting lines and zones.

CoverageGates, yards, zones, loading bays
Component 03

Site server

Rack-mounted server that runs the detection analytics, stores video and applies privacy masking. Sends events and counts to the CameraX Platform; continues detecting and recording if the connection drops.

CapacityUp to 64 camera channels per unit

CameraX Platform

Cloud-delivered operator console, automated triggers and alerts, daily and monthly reports, multi-site dashboards, user management with audit log. Browser and mobile app.

SubscriptionMonthly, per site · updates, hosting and support included
Capabilities

What the system detects and reports.

Four functions run on the same cameras and the same server. Each is configured per site on the site plan: perimeter segments, counting lines, zones and patrol routes.

See each function in the demonstration
1

Perimeter intrusion detection

Thermal cameras along the wall classify people, vehicles and animals at up to 150 m. Approach and climb events raise an alarm with a video clip and the position on the site plan. Output: alarm to the guard post, evidence clip, perimeter log. Animals, birds and weather are filtered.

2

Gate access counting

Optical cameras at each gate count every entry and exit against a counting line and the shift schedule. Late arrivals are counted per department. Output: daily attendance report at shift start, monthly summary, export to payroll or HR systems. No face identification is required.

3

Restricted-zone monitoring

Zones are drawn on the site plan: substations, chemical stores, construction areas, waste processing. Entry raises an alert to the duty officer. Output: alert with clip, live occupancy per zone, breach log with time and duration.

4

Patrol coordination

For industrial zones and large sites, perimeter alarms are routed to the nearest guard on duty with the camera position and distance. Output: dispatch log, response time per alarm, patrol coverage report per shift.

Data protection

All video stays on the premises.

CameraX is designed for sites with restricted areas and confidentiality obligations. The measures below are standard in every installation and can be written into the service agreement.

1

Video stays on site

Video is recorded and stored only on the site server, in a room controlled by the customer. The CameraX Platform receives events, counts and alarm metadata; no video is stored in the cloud. Evidence clips open over an encrypted connection to the site server, for authorised users only.

2

Masking at source

Areas designated as excluded are masked in the camera, before the image is stored. Masked areas are not recorded and cannot be recovered by any operator, including ONOTO.

3

Role-based access

Evidence clips are accessible only to operators authorised by the customer. Each view is logged. A contracted guard company can receive alarms without access to the video behind them.

4

Reports without identification

Attendance and zone reports are produced as counts per department and per zone. Faces are blurred in reports by default; face identification is not part of the system.

5

Retention policy

Retention is set by the customer: 7, 30 or 92 days by default. Clips attached to a filed incident are retained; all other video is overwritten on schedule. Enforced by the server, stated in the agreement.

Deployment and support

From site survey to operation in four weeks.

Installation uses existing structure and cabling routes where available. Privacy masking is configured and verified with the customer before recording starts.

1

Site survey

Half a day on site with the security manager: perimeter length, gates, zones, excluded areas, camera positions and cable routes.

2

Design and proposal

Camera positions on the site plan, bill of materials and a fixed price for installation, within five working days of the survey.

3

Installation and commissioning

One to two weeks on site. Masking configured before recording starts; alarm routing tested with the guard post; operator training delivered.

4

Operation and support

CameraX Platform subscription per site, including hosting, updates and remote diagnostics. On-site hardware service within the response time agreed in the contract.

€

Commercial model

Hardware supplied and installed at a fixed price, or leased. The CameraX Platform is a monthly SaaS subscription per site. A 30-day pilot on one perimeter segment or one gate is available before full deployment; the pilot hardware is credited against the full installation.

Applications

Factories, industrial zones, campuses.

The same components in different configurations. The typical configuration for each site type is shown below; the proposal states the exact configuration for the site.

Textile and garment factoriesPerimeter and confidentiality

Long perimeters of 5–10 km, frequently protected by wire sensors with high false-alarm rates and third-party maintenance contracts. Thermal cameras replace the sensor line; production and waste-processing areas are masked at source.

Typical configuration20–40 thermal cameras · 2–4 gate cameras · 1 server

Chemical plantsZones and access

Restricted-zone monitoring for hazardous stores and process areas, occupancy counts before shift lock-up, and gate counting integrated with the site's attendance system.

Typical configuration8–16 optical cameras · thermal cameras at the perimeter as required

Construction sitesTemporary perimeter

Pole-mounted thermal cameras on a temporary perimeter, gate counting for workforce and vehicles, and zone monitoring for scaffolds and excavation areas. Relocated as the site progresses.

Typical configuration6–12 thermal cameras · 2 gate cameras · portable server

Industrial zonesPatrol coordination

Cameras on the ring road cover every lot simultaneously. Perimeter alarms are routed to the nearest guard on duty; response times and patrol coverage are reported per shift to the zone management.

Typical configuration14–30 thermal cameras · dispatch console at the guard post

Schools and campusesZones and occupancy

Occupancy counting for yards and playing fields and alerts on entry to restricted areas such as substations, plant rooms and construction zones. Reports are counts only; no identification of individuals.

Typical configuration4–8 optical cameras · 1 server

Request a proposal.

Send the approximate perimeter length, the number of gates and the areas to be excluded from recording. A proposal with camera positions and a fixed price follows within five working days of the site survey.
